Hansa Medical is a research company focused on development of biopharmaceuticals and diagnostics within inflammation. Biopharma and diagnostics development at Hansa Medical is based on the molecular interplay between the immune system and pathogenic bacteria.

Hansa Medical develops the enzymes IdeS and EndoS towards therapeutic applications within rare autoimmune diseases and organ transplantation. Also, the company develops a clinical-stage diagnostic method, HMD-301, for the prognosis and diagnosis of severe sepsis.
