Hansa Medical is a biotechnology research and development company focused on treatment and diagnosis of inflammation.
At present, Hansa Medical runs two preclinical biopharmaceutical programs: anti-alpha-11 for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and IdeS for treatment in connection with organ transplantation. Also, the company develops a clinical-stage diagnostic method, HMD-301, for the prognosis and diagnosis of severe sepsis.
Hansa Medical was founded in 2001 by Chairman Mr Bo Håkansson and in 2007 the company’s shares was listed at
NASDAQ OMX First North under ticker symbol HMED.
