Product development at Hansa Medical is based on two separate research fields: the molecular interplay between pathogenic bacteria and the immune system as well as the membrane protein alpha-11 present on synovial fibroblasts.

In close collaboration with researcher partners, Hansa Medical selects particularly promising discoveries for product development. Research and product development runs in parallel with both common and uncommon goals. The research partners of Hansa Medical as well as other groups in the research community continuously publish scientific discoveries that strengthen the concepts that the product development at Hansa Medical is based upon.

Discoveries and product ideas are continuously patent sought in collaboration with patent attorneys J.A. Kemp & Co. and HØIBERG A/S.
